Job summary

SOSi in Raleigh, NC, is actively seeking qualified Spanish interpreters to support a broad set of business activities from a call/contact center environment, providing language interpretation. The Spanish interpreter will handle consecutive and simultaneous interpretation between Spanish and English and provide over-the-phone and video remote interpreting for LEP individuals as required.

Responsibilities include sight translation and quality control of translated documents.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of interpretation experience in a judicial environment.
• Legal ability to work in the U.S.
• Highly proficient in English and Spanish vocabularies used in justice system contexts.
• Knowledge of legal/criminal justice terminology in English and Spanish.
• Ability to perform simultaneous, consecutive, and sight translation accurately.
• Ability to preserve speaker tone, pace, and pronunciation.

Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation between Spanish and English.
• Provide over-the-phone and video remote interpreting for LEP individuals as required.
• Perform sight translation of documents.
• Provide quality control review of translated documents as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
