Job summary

Language Services Associates is seeking qualified interpreters for a wide range of assignments in the United States. As an Independently Contracted Interpreter, you will facilitate communication for LEP communities across varied settings.

LSA continually accepts qualified interpreters for diverse opportunities. We value bilingual English-Somali proficiency and a strong customer-service mindset, with 1+ year of interpreting experience preferred and industry certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Somali.
• The ability to provide a high level of client service.
• 1+ year of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to clients and LEP individuals.
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct and confidentiality standards.
• Follow policies and industry best practices for interpretation.
• Meet client clearance requirements as requested.
• Report on site to accepted assignments in a timely manner.
• Access to personal or public transport for assignments.
