Job summary

Language Services Associates is seeking qualified interpreters for a wide range of assignments in the United States. As an Independently Contracted Interpreter, you will facilitate communication for LEP communities across varied settings.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Somali.
• The ability to provide a high level of client service.
• 1+ year of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to clients and LEP individuals.
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct and confidentiality standards.
• Follow policies and industry best practices for interpretation.
• Meet client clearance requirements as requested.
• Report on site to accepted assignments in a timely manner.

As a member of LSA’s network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you will be responsible for facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings. • Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices
