Job summary

Lukos LLC is seeking a Social Worker/Custody and Removal Coordinator in San Diego, CA to assist ERO Field Office and detention staff in maintaining a safe detention environment and providing trauma-informed support to detained noncitizens.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Social Work or Psychology, with a Master’s preferred, and bilingual English/Spanish skills. Must have experience with case management, multi-cultural environments, and communication in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Social Work or Psychology from an accredited program.
• Master's degree preferred but not required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Assist detained noncitizens with needs and complaints via forms or referrals.
• Support parent/child communication and child welfare involvement.
• Coordinate disability accommodations with detention facilities.
• Facilitate compliance with agency policies and detention standards.
• Provide language interpretation for facility and staff.
• Develop and maintain a national resource database for release/removal.
• Meet with newly detained individuals for orientation to CRC services.
• Support specialized housing units and vulnerable populations.
