Golden Gate Regional Center (GGRC) is seeking a Bilingual Social Worker for a hybrid role serving clients in San Francisco County. You will assess client needs, develop and coordinate Individual Program Plans, and ensure timely documentation.

The position emphasizes advocacy and collaboration with families and community services. The job requires a Bachelor's or higher in social welfare, with Master’s preferred, and Cantonese language proficiency.

• Knowledge of normal and abnormal child development and family dynamics.
• Knowledge of community structure and how to advocate for clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Strong business-like written communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to engage clients, families and community agencies.
• Ability to build lasting professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assess individuals supported and their families, develop and coordinate Individual Program Plans and required documentation.
• Manage a wide range of active cases with creative planning and service coordination.
• Initiate/terminate funding, ensure services are provided and prepare timely reports.
• Advocate for entitled services and encourage client participation in resources.
• Initiate referrals and monitor vendor services, identify gaps and improve service quality.
• May provide outreach and participate in internal/community committees.
