Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Knowledge about social services areas such as family, health, or casework methods is preferred.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Keep accurate, updated, and organized records after every patient visit.
• Answer questions about benefits or refer clients to the correct organization.
• Discuss benefits like child care, food stamps, housekeeping, and money management to determine needs.
• Review and submit reports requested by the Social Services Coordinator or Case Managers.
• Interview family members or individuals to obtain a complete family history.
• Assist with sliding fee applications and patient assistant applications.
• Assist with clerical tasks as needed.
• Complete transportation and home visits as requested.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance in the office.
