Job summary

New York Common Pantry is seeking a Help 365 Mobile Bilingual SNAP Enroller to join our Help 365 Mobile Social Services team in New York City. The role focuses on assisting families and individuals in submitting and obtaining SNAP benefits through HRA.

You will travel across four boroughs, complete required trainings, and collaborate with DSS/HRA to ensure eligible clients receive benefits. Strong English and Spanish, plus community outreach and data tracking, are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in human services or related fields.
• Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field.
• Solid computer literacy and administrative skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to designated areas within four NYC boroughs to engage SNAP applicants.
• Attend mandatory trainings and webinars.
• Build relationships with DSS/HRA to ensure SNAP receipt.
• Create and produce outreach materials about SNAP.
• Educate community members through events, presentations, and tabling.
• Prescreen for SNAP eligibility and estimate benefits.
• Assist applicants in gathering documents and submitting SNAP applications.
• Resolve barriers and track outcomes in reporting tools.
• Meet annual program targets and collaborate with Hunger Solutions NY.
