Job summary

Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC) seeks a bilingual Business Development Associate to expand LEDC services for entrepreneurs and small businesses. You will conduct outreach, build partnerships, and deliver technical assistance to help clients start, grow, and access capital resources.

You’ll coordinate with LEDC’s Lending Department and external partners while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience supporting small businesses.
• Experience conducting basic cash flow and financial analysis for small businesses.
• Ability to explain technical or financial concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong technology skills with widely used office tools and online research.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse communities including underrepresented groups.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Willingness to travel locally or regionally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide business consulting and technical assistance to entrepreneurs and existing businesses, including feasibility and market analysis and loan packaging.
• Assist with business registrations, licensing, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with Lending Department and external partners for financing.
• Analyze cash flow and financial performance and coach clients accordingly.
• Refer to partner organizations for specialized services like legal or accounting.
• Conduct outreach to raise awareness of LEDC programs and services.
• Develop referral networks with financial institutions and community partners.
• Build a client pipeline through events, referrals, and community engagement.
• Deliver training and workshops as needed and maintain accurate records in CRM.
• Represent LEDC in community initiatives to improve visibility and impact.
