Center for Family Life in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, is seeking a dynamic Small Business Developer to advance worker cooperatives through bilingual communication, coaching, and outreach. This full-time, on-site role is critical for building strong governance and helping entrepreneurs grow.

You will organize groups, deliver workshops, and manage projects while collaborating with partners to expand CFL’s cooperative development program and impact in the community.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• Facilitate workshops and group meetings with ease.
• Strong project management and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiar with popular education methods for teaching adults.
• Committed to social justice and economic empowerment for low-income women.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least three years of experience; advanced degree a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Organize and inspire community groups to develop cooperative businesses.
• Support workers in establishing governance and management systems.
• Collaborate with partners to amplify development efforts.
• Provide tailored guidance and resources for entrepreneurial journeys.
• Deliver hands-on business management support and coach worker-owners.
• Conduct market research and connect cooperatives with resources.
• Mediate conflicts and manage projects with clear communication.
• Design and facilitate workshops on business management topics.
