Job summary

Meador Staffing is seeking a direct-hire Bilingual Shipping Supervisor for a company in Houston (77051). You will lead the Shipping Department, ensuring timely picking, packing, and shipping while maintaining a safe work environment.

You will manage a team of 7–10, delegate workload, train staff, and coordinate with Sales, Logistics, QC, and Receiving. A strong shipping background and bilingual abilities are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of shipping experience.
• Bilingual – REQUIRED.
• PVF Experience - Preferred.
• Experience as a yard supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all department equipment is in proper working condition (forklifts, pickers, crane, hand tools, etc.).
• Effectively communicates with department supervisors and upper management.
• Manages Daily operational reports to identify workload and utilize OT as needed.
• Coordinates with Sales on requests, priority levels, and issues.
• Coordinates with Logistics on outbound shipments (flatbeds, motor freight, hot shots).
• Coordinates with QC on material discrepancies and non-conforming stock material.
• Processes and handles picking tickets and communicates with Sales, Supervisors, and QC.
• Supports Will-call traffic by loading orders in a timely manner.
• Manages shipping dock space daily by communicating with Logistics and Sales.
• Trains personnel on company processes and maintains training records.
• Attends production meetings to identify issues and discuss solutions.
• Identifies areas for improvement while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Manages shipping personnel on picking, packing, checking, and shipping processes.
• Organizes and manages a team of 7 to 10 employees.

Meador an Openwork Company is currently engaged in a search to find a direct hire BilingualShipping Supervisor for a company located in Houston (77051). Leads day-to-day operational activities pertaining to the Shipping Department. Ensures material is picked, packed, shipped on time and in an efficient manner. Effectively delegate’s workload to department leads and personnel. All while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

As the Shipping Supervisor you will:

• Ensure all department equipment is in proper working condition (forklifts, pickers, crane, hand tools, etc.)
• Effectively communicates with department supervisors and upper management. Utilizes email to communicate with Receiving, Front Office, and Sales Departments.
• Manages Daily operational reports to identify workload and utilize OT as needed.
• Coordinates with Sales on any request, priority levels, and any issues that may arise.
• Coordinates with Logistics on outbound shipments (flatbeds, Motor freight, hot shots, etc.).
• Coordinates with QC on material discrepancies and non-conforming stock material.
• Process and handles picking tickets by effectively communicating with Sales, Department Supervisors, and QC.
• Supports Will-call traffic by efficiently loading orders in a timely manner.
• Manages loading dock space daily by communicating with Logistics and Sales.
• Effectively trains personnel on company processes and procedures, submits training records, and identifies areas that need additional training.

What you’ll need:

• 3+ years of shipping experience– REQUIRED
• Bilingual – REQUIRED
• PVF Experience - Preferred
• Experience as a yard supervisor

Salary:

• Salary: $23-$26/hr
