Job summary

Shipping Supervisor Hayward, CA – Full-Time, Onsite. You will lead daily shipping and logistics operations, supervise the shipping team and driver, and ensure on-time, accurate shipments while promoting a safe, efficient workplace.

Requirements include 5+ years in shipping/logistics in manufacturing, 3+ years of direct supervisory experience, and bilingual English/Spanish. Proficiency with FedEx Ship Manager or UPS WorldShip and ERP/WMS systems is preferred, with Lean background a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of shipping, logistics, or distribution experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of direct supervisory experience leading a shipping or warehouse team.
• Experience conducting employee performance reviews, coaching, and progressive discipline.
• Experience managing shipping KPIs and departmental performance.
• Experience with FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, or similar shipping software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop Shipping & Packaging Clerks and the company driver. Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and manage progressive discipline.
• Schedule daily workloads and ensure on-time shipment performance.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments using FedEx, UPS, and similar shipping systems.
• Monitor and improve shipping KPIs, including on-time delivery, shipping accuracy, productivity, and inventory accuracy.
• Plan delivery routes and support shipping, packaging, and receiving activities as needed.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and ensure accurate shipping documentation.
• Promote a safe, organized, and continuous improvement-focused work environment.

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a hands-on Shipping Supervisor to lead daily shipping and logistics operations at their Hayward facility. This role is responsible for supervising the shipping team, ensuring accurate and on-time shipments, improving department performance, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. The ideal candidate has experience managing shipping personnel, conducting performance reviews, coaching employees, handling progressive discipline, and tracking shipping KPIs. Bilingual English/Spanish is required to effectively communicate with the current team.
