Job summary

Meador Staffing, an Openwork Company, is seeking a direct-hire Bilingual Receiving Supervisor for a Houston-based operation. You will lead the pipe yard receiving team, verify materials against paperwork, and ensure accurate stocking and documentation.

You’ll supervise unloading, sorting, and verification, coordinate with Imports on quantity discrepancies, maintain organized docks and clear aisles, and uphold safety through daily meetings and training records.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of PVF experience.
• Bilingual – Huge Plus.
• Experience as a receiving supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Supervising receiving personnel involved in unloading, sorting, verification and stocking
• Ensuring material information matches receiving paperwork
• Verifying heat numbers, markings, quantities and incoming materials
• Coordinating with Imports regarding quantity discrepancies
• Ensuring containers and trucks are unloaded properly and efficiently
• Visually verifying bundles being unloaded
• Maintaining organized receiving areas and clear forklift traffic
• Ensuring incoming material is placed in the correct stocking lanes
• Performing daily checks on scheduled incoming material
• Ensuring forklifts, pickers, cranes, hand tools and other equipment are operational
• Communicating with department supervisors and upper management
• Conducting department meetings and maintaining training records
• Performing quarterly competency reviews
• Identifying additional training needs
• Conducting daily safety meetings and maintaining clear aisles/racks/dock areas
