Job summary

Truist is seeking a Regular full-time Retail Banking Associate in the Jacksonville area to support client maintenance, problem resolution, and sales activities across deposit, credit, and service lines. The role emphasizes consultative conversations, referrals to specialists, and adherence to risk controls.

Responsibilities include advising on consumer lending, processing loan applications, and delivering a consistent, courteous client experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• 2 years of client sales and service experience
• Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building relationships
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office
• SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days and NMLS background checks
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints
• Willingness to travel for temporary staffing needs, including locale changes
• Ability to work weekends and extended hours with travel/overnights as needed
• Preferred: Associate's degree or higher
• Preferred: ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints
• Preferred: strong verbal and written communication skills
• Preferred: experience selling deposit, credit, and retirement products
• Preferred: proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Preferred: general understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

• Exercising advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests and problem resolution
• Contributing to meeting client service and sales targets by expanding relationships
• Conducting consultative conversations and referring complex needs to internal specialists
• Participating in the Retail Community Bank Leadership routines
• Advancing sales knowledge through meetings and training
• Advising on consumer lending options and taking loan applications
• Adhering to internal controls and risk management policies
• Ensuring a consistent client service experience and greeting clients in-branch
