Job summary

Benchmark Education Company seeks a Dual Language Senior Content Developer to lead the development of Core and Supplemental literacy content. The role requires fluent Spanish, strong editing and project management skills, and collaboration across editorial, design, and marketing teams.

Responsibilities include coordinating vendors and writers, reviewing manuscripts and productions, and maintaining writing guidelines. A BA is required; MA is a plus, with ongoing industry knowledge necessary.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing literacy materials for an educational publisher.
• BA in English, education, or related field (MA a plus).
• Superior Spanish writing and editing skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• MS Office proficiency; Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vendors, colleagues, and freelance writers to develop content and ensure guidelines are observed.
• Review, edit, and approve manuscript and production stages with editors, designers, and researchers.
• Incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders across departments and external reviewers.
• Attend status meetings with senior content developers to report on workflow and content issues.
• Create or update Product Library documentation and support Sales/Marketing materials.
• Review correlations with Correlations Manager to ensure standards alignment.
• Read journals to enhance market and pedagogical knowledge and stay current.
• Complete weekly time-tracking documentation.
