Job summary

Onsite during probation and roughly one remote day per week thereafter. Responsibilities include AP/AR, monthly and year-end closings, cash flow analysis, tax coordination, audits, budgeting, fixed assets, and inventory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Accounting/finance experience; considered at different levels based on experience.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze accounting records, AP/AR documentation, financial statements, and reports.
• Support or lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing based on experience level.
• Prepare cash flow reports, analyze variances, and support cash/bank account management.
• Coordinate financial transactions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain tax documentation and coordinate with external accountants on tax filings.
• Support quarterly reviews and year-end audits in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Assist with expense budgets, monitoring, and variance analysis.
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
• Support inventory valuation, physical counts, and variance analysis.
• Maintain and improve accounting procedures, manuals, and internal controls.
• Senior-level candidates may provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
