Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze accounting records, AP/AR documentation, financial statements, and reports.
• Support or lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing based on experience level.
• Prepare cash flow reports, analyze variances, and support cash/bank account management.
• Coordinate financial transactions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain tax documentation and coordinate with external accountants on tax filings.
• Support quarterly reviews and year-end audits in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Assist with expense budgets, monitoring, and variance analysis.
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
• Support inventory valuation, physical counts, and variance analysis.
• Maintain and improve accounting procedures, manuals, and internal controls.
• Senior-level candidates may provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Compensation: Approximately $80,000–$110,000 annually (DOE) + bonus

Hours: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Employment Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt or Exempt depending on level; onsite during probation, with approximately 1 remote day/week potentially available afterward

Position Summary

This position supports a broad range of accounting and finance activities, including AP/AR, financial reporting, closing, cash flow, tax, audits, budgeting, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.

• Experience mentoring or supporting junior accounting staff.

Other Details

• Salary: Approximately $80,000–$110,000 DOE; final compensation and level will be based on qualifications and experience.
• Bonus: Prior-year actual bonuses were approximately 1.5 months of salary in summer and 2–3 months in winter.
• Onsite attendance is required during the probationary period.
• After probation, approximately 1 remote workday per week may be considered.

This role may include additional responsibilities as needed based on business needs.
