Job summary

Garden Grove Unified School District seeks a part-time School-Community Liaison to facilitate English/Spanish communication between school, families, and the community. You will support families in accessing services, interpret meetings, and translate written communications during the school year.

The role requires bilingual fluency, high school graduation or equivalent, and some college coursework. Work hours are 3–3.5 hours daily, with occasional events outside regular hours.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Some college-level courses is desired.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison to facilitate communication about students between school, home, and the community.
• Interpret for meetings such as teacher conferences, IEP meetings, and attendance meetings.
• Plan, coordinate, and present parent education programs.
• Assist with referrals to community agencies for student and family needs.
• Help parents with applications and forms.
• Provide translations of flyers, newsletters, emails and other communications.
• May assist with home visits and transportation if approved.
