Peak Behavioral Health in Norman, OK is seeking a Bilingual Referral Coordinator to manage referrals, scheduling, and coordination for psychological testing services. The role is the primary contact for referrals, patients, families, providers and insurers to ensure timely access to care.

The position requires Spanish and English fluency, strong organizational skills, experience with EHR/EMR, and a commitment to confidentiality while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Bilingual: Spanish and English with fluent written and verbal communication.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years in medical scheduling, healthcare administration, or patient access.
• Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Proficiency with EHR/EMR and strong Google Workspace skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple competing demands.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process referrals from physicians, therapists, schools, hospitals and partners.
• Review referrals for completeness and request missing docs as needed.
• Enter referrals into the Referral Tracker and waitlist; track status.
• Maintain referral queues and ensure timely follow‑up.
• Communicate referral status and appointment availability to sources.
• Verify insurance eligibility and schedule testing appointments.
• Coordinate multi‑session evaluations and optimize provider schedules.
• Serve as primary contact for patients and families; explain testing timelines.
• Document in EMR; upload referrals and authorizations; maintain HIPAA compliance.
