THE COMPANY
Our client is a growing leader in inverter mini-split HVAC equipment in the Southwestern USA and is rapidly expanding eastward. Due to growth, they are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive business development in specific geographic regions. The Regional Sales Manager will report to the Sales Director and focus on developing new clients and sales channels within their designated region (may work remotely from locations such as San Diego, CA, or Southern CA).

THE POSITION
The successful candidate will be a strategically focused developer of new business and an effective closer. The ideal candidate will embrace our internal sales culture of fostering excitement, success, urgency, and accountability. They should be entrepreneurial, a natural leader, and have a proven track record of contributing to high-performing sales organizations.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Cultivate and expand key client accounts within the designated region, fostering relationships that lead to increased business opportunities, higher project capture rates, and improved project gross margins.
  2. Accurately forecast sales and achieve or surpass annual sales targets using CRM tools.
  3. Maintain transparency of sales activities through effective use of organizational tools.
  4. Represent the company professionally and uphold its values in all interactions.
  5. Drive revenue by collaborating with wholesalers, distributors, contractors, and retail chains.
  6. Educate contractors and wholesalers about our products.
  7. Build relationships with key stakeholders through impactful sales visits, training, and other engagements.
  8. Develop business plans to grow relationships with wholesalers, collaborating with marketing, purchasing, finance, and buyers.
  9. Provide insights and intelligence to support the sell-through forecast process by understanding the business deeply.
  10. Create and coordinate sales/product training for contractors and distributors, both in-person and virtual.
  11. Respond to field inquiries regarding product features, functions, and benefits.
  12. Collaborate with the Sales Director on pricing, approvals, and specific requirements; participate in sales meetings.

THE CANDIDATE

  • 5+ years of stable sales experience with progressive growth.
  • Experience in HVAC-related industry sales is required; knowledge of air handling units, indoor air quality, or regulatory compliance is a plus.
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong understanding of B2B (capital) solution selling.
  • Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and understand their needs.
  • Effective cross-departmental collaboration skills.
  • Professional maturity, strategic thinking, and diplomacy.
  • High energy, drive, passion, tenacity, and common sense.
  • Proactive approach, offering solutions rather than problems.
  • Desire to ethically succeed and overcome barriers.
