Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking a bilingual SQT Trainer II to lead safety and technical training for employees in our utility sectors. You will develop facilitator guides, conduct training for hires and ongoing staff, and ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT standards.

Responsibilities include preparing course materials, coordinating with the Training Manager, evaluating training effectiveness, and maintaining records. Experience in the utility industry and CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• Two (2+) plus years of experience as Safety Trainer is preferred.
• Two (2+) plus years’ experience operating heavy equipment is required.
• Class A CDL Preferred.
• Experience working in the utility industry is preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare facilitator materials, session plans, visual aids and handouts for training sessions.
• Operations trainer – fitter, swamper, operator, etc.
• Conduct safety and technical training for employees on hire and periodically.
• Enforce health and safety programs to drive continuous improvement and a safety culture.
• Coordinate with supervisors to ensure field training is implemented.
• Coordinate with Training Manager to design training materials and courses.
• Evaluate and modify training solutions and materials.
• Maintain PPE orders and training records.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety practices and equipment.
