Job summary

CEC Facilities Group seeks an experienced Safety Trainer to develop and deliver safety training across job sites. The role requires a strong background in occupational health and safety and extensive construction safety experience.

You will design engaging training materials, lead sessions, and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate is bilingual (Spanish preferred), with excellent communication and presentation skills, and proficient in training software and LMS platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety preferred; 15 years of construction safety experience required.
• OHSA 500, CSP, CHST, or CSHO certifications preferred.
• Bilingual - Spanish preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills required.
• Proficiency with training software, LMS, and office software.

Responsibilities

• Create and update training materials, programs, and content that align with safety regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.
• Conduct training sessions, workshops, and presentations on safety procedures including first aid, fire safety, hazardous materials handling, ergonomics, and more.
• Provide hands-on demonstrations, practical exercises, and theoretical knowledge to ensure comprehension and retention of safety information.
• Evaluate training effectiveness by assessing trainees' understanding and skills through quizzes, practical assessments, and other methods.
• Stay current with safety regulations and industry best practices to ensure up-to-date and compliant materials.
