Job summary

Lifedoc Health in Memphis, TN is seeking a Bilingual Revenue Cycle and Membership Specialist to manage insurance claims, patient collections, posting, and AR follow-up. This in-person, full-time role focuses on improving cash flow while complying with healthcare regulations and promoting the Vida Plus program.

You will contact patients and insurers, follow up on claims across commercial, Medicare/Medicaid, and Vida Plus contracts, verify benefits, post payments, and resolve denials.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English required, reading/writing/speaking in both languages.
• Experience in medical billing, collections, or revenue cycle.
• Proficiency with CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding concepts.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Proactively contact patients and insurers to collect overdue balances.
• Follow up on commercial, HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, Vida Plus, and Vida Plus Premier claims until resolution.
• Review and verify insurance eligibility and benefits while resolving unpaid claims.
• Submit, monitor, and follow up on insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Investigate and resolve denied, rejected, and underpaid claims.
• Prepare and submit claim reconsiderations, corrected claims, and formal appeals as needed.
• Track unpaid claims and communicate with insurance carriers and patients regarding outstanding balances.
• Monitor post-billing accounts and identify delinquent patient balances requiring follow-up.
• Update EMR and post adjustments as needed.
• Assist in financial reporting, data entry, and reconciliation projects as needed.
