SoLa Impact is seeking a Maintenance Technician II in Los Angeles to perform repairs and upgrades across interior and exterior spaces of our multi‑family properties. Under the Maintenance Supervisor, you will handle work orders, respond to service calls, and collaborate with Property Management, Construction, and Purchasing teams to meet resident needs.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands‑on residential maintenance, strong skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry, and fluency

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands‑on residential maintenance experience.
• Solid knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems and appliance repair.
• Understanding REAC inspections and HUD property compliance.
• Experience with inventory management and budgeting tasks.
• Mentorship and training experience for junior staff.
• Awareness of environmental hazards (asbestos, lead, mold).
• Ability to schedule and perform preventative maintenance.

Responsabilités

• Manage ordering and supplies for a maintenance shop.
• Respond to service calls and complete work orders.
• Prepare HUD portfolio sites to pass REAC inspections.
• Perform electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall, and janitorial tasks.
• Repair outlets, switches, breakers, fixtures, appliances.
• Clean drains, fix leaks, and handle plumbing duties.
• Repair cabinets, floors, doors, and walls as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair residential kitchen appliances and HVAC.
• Ensure sites are clean after maintenance; coordinate with departments.
• Respond to emergencies and inspections; assist with scheduling.
