Job summary

Heluna Health supports the San Francisco Department of Public Health as the SF City Clinic Research Team seeks a Research Associate to recruit, consent, and manage participants for STI/HIV studies. You will perform study procedures, document data, and ensure quality across English and Spanish interactions.

Qualifications

• Spanish fluency to consent participants in Spanish and English
• Ability to recruit and consent participants and screen in both English and Spanish
• Experience with research study procedures and regulatory documentation
• Strong data handling and quality control in paper/electronic forms
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently with deadlines
• Comfort discussing sensitive health information with diverse populations
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and meet study goals
• Attention to protocol adherence and accurate data entry

Responsibilities

• Consent and enroll participants in English and Spanish
• Screen participants for eligibility in both languages
• Organize regulatory binders and study materials
• Maintain high-quality data collection and documentation
• Perform quality control of study documents
• Assist with specimen handling and shipping
• Protect confidential data with integrity
• Communicate with participants and coordinating staff
• Update regulatory documents as needed
• Attend team and supervision meetings to review progress
• Provide STI/HIV information and referrals as appropriate
• Deliver rapid test results to patients
• Adhere to clinic protocols and PPE requirements
