Job summary

Heluna Health supports the San Francisco City Clinic Research Team under SFDPH to conduct studies on STI and HIV prevention and treatment. The Research Associate handles recruitment, consent, data collection, and quality control with strong attention to detail and collaboration with investigators.

The role requires Spanish fluency, independence, and excellent interpersonal skills to engage diverse participants. This is a temporary, grant-funded, full-time position funded through Heluna Health.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish to consent participants.
• Experience communicating with diverse populations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Consent and enroll new study participants in English and Spanish.
• Recruit participants and screen eligibility in both languages.
• Maintain study files and regulatory binders.
• Learn human subjects protections and good clinical practices.
• Perform quality control on study documents.
• Assist with specimen collection, processing, storage, and shipment.
• Protect confidentiality and handle sensitive data with integrity.
• Communicate with participants, coordinators and principal investigator.
• Update regulatory documents as needed.
• Attend team meetings and supervision sessions.
• Provide STI/HIV information and refer to services.
• Return negative STI/HIV test results to patients.
• Follow clinic PPE and privacy protocols.
