Job summary

Planned Parenthood Northern California (PPNorCal) is hiring a bilingual (Spanish) Registration Specialist for our Redding Health Center. This full-time role includes insurance verification, registration, scheduling, and cash collection, with a strong emphasis on patient advocacy and financial counseling.

The position requires excellent customer service, data entry, and familiarity with Epic EPM/EHR. Weekend work and travel to nearby centers may be required, with a competitive benefits package

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desired.
• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent; 6 months to 1 year related experience may be acceptable.
• Experience working in a receptionist or office setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical insurance plans preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and others who present at health centers.
• Check-in/check-out patients, schedule appointments, answer phones, enter data into Epic EPM/EHR.
• Assess patient eligibility for funding and insurance programs; collect payments and complete online eligibility processes.
• Explain insurance coverage, negotiate payment plans, and assist with financial counseling.
