Job summary

Planned Parenthood Northern California (PPNorCal) is seeking a bilingual (Spanish) Reproductive Health Specialist (Medical Assistant) for the Chico Health Center. This full-time role includes 40 hours per week with a robust benefits package, including employer-paid medical insurance for full-time staff and a 403(b) retirement plan.

The RHS provides health information, supports licensed providers, and performs front- and back-office duties required for patient care.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• Associate degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a busy clinic and maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with provision of family planning health care, prenatal and abortion services as assigned.
• Take vital signs, venipuncture, injections, and document in EMR.
• Support licensed providers and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and lab areas.
• Provide patient education about services in a caring, non-judgmental manner.
