Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or certificate preferred.
• 1 year experience in an office setting, preferably in medical/dental offices.
• 2 years in medical/dental front office with insurance referrals/authorizations preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required at level 9.
• ALTA score of 9 qualifies for bilingual differential compensation.

Responsibilities

• Manages referral work queues daily to ensure timely processing and completion.
• Assists with patient referrals for services with internal and external facilities.
• Assist with patient insurance authorization.
• Assist with appointment setup as needed.
• Coordinate follow up between referral source and patient.
• Ensure chart notes and follow-up documentation are linked to referrals.
• Provide translated educational materials and directions to patients as needed.
• Process incoming correspondence and respond to calls, emails, and faxes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
