Acacia Network invites qualified professionals to join our Bronx, NY team as Certified Recovery Peer Advocates. This peer-delivered role emphasizes trauma-informed, non-clinical support to promote recovery and connect clients with natural resources.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team to support individuals with behavioral health needs, provide education to families, and facilitate referrals to care coordination and outpatient services.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must possess current Certified Recovery Peer Advocate certification (provisional accepted, full within 6 months).
• Must obtain Mandated reporter training within 30 days of hire.
• Must obtain various trainings/certifications within 30 days of hire (Domestic Violence, HIV, etc.).
• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.

Mansioni

• Provide rehabilitative and recovery-oriented interventions for clients with substance disorders.
• Promote coping skills for behavioral health symptoms.
• Provide relapse prevention planning.
• Conduct assessments and groups for substance abuse and dependency.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and referrals.
• Assist clients in accessing benefits, housing, and community services.
• Engage families and support networks in recovery education and counseling.
• Link clients to self-help groups and community resources.
• Follow organizational policies and participate in policy development.
