Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support back-office and lobby patient experiences across multiple specialties, including orthodontics and pediatric dentistry.

The ideal candidate holds an active RDA license in Texas, CPR/AED, and nitrous monitoring certification, with experience in Open Dental or Dentrix. Travel to sister offices and a valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active RDA license with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE).
• Active CPR and AED training.
• Certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide.
• Maintain OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training.
• Dental practice management software experience (Open Dental/Dentrix) helpful.
• Sealant, Coronal Polishing, or PALS certifications are a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish is required.
• Ability to travel within sister offices.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Focusing on patient safety and team safety as priority one.
• Adhering to OSHA protocols and proper disposal of sharps and waste.
• Maintaining digital patient records including health history, insurance eligibility, and treatment plans.
• Educating patients and parents on oral health benefits.
• Monitoring patient well-being during visits.
• Preparing tray setups according to doctor preferences.
• Keeping exam rooms clean, disinfected, and stocked.
• Charting treatments and updating patient charts.
• Reviewing health history prior to doctor arrival.
• Taking diagnostic X-Rays and attaching them to charts.
• Supporting team in cleaning and organizing clinical areas.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.
