Job summary

North Coast Sea-Foods Corp. seeks a Quality Control Associate to test seafood products at three production stages, verify conformance to company standards and applicable laws, and report findings to management.

Responsibilities include microbial and moisture analyses, HACCP documentation, equipment calibration, data reporting, and collaboration with production staff to drive quality improvements; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in inspection or production
• 2+ years in food manufacturing; seafood/meat processing a plus
• Certification for Quality Control preferred
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong working knowledge of mathematical concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong project management and organizational skills; able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and teamwork
• Commitment to a safe workplace and performance-driven environment
• Ability to communicate and work with leadership on QC improvements

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact between production staff and Quality department for Quality, Food Safety and Regulatory issues
• Ensure compliance to food safety programs and company specs
• Ensure HACCP compliance and complete related documentation
• Perform environmental swabs and record data
• Communicate swab results to QC leadership and draft reports
• Conduct internal audits of plant and paperwork with QC supervisor
• Maintain and calibrate QC equipment
• Test and record measurements of seafood attributes
• Compare measurements to company specifications
• Prepare and maintain test data for review
• Identify QC improvements and communicate with leadership
• Assist with new methods and processes
• Work to address quality or compliance concerns promptly
• Perform other related duties as assigned
