Job summary

The Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking an experienced QA Test Analyst with expertise in manual and automated testing to support enterprise applications, including Spanish-language content. This role requires proficient English and Spanish language skills to validate bilingual content and ensure accuracy across screens, notices, and workflows.

Hybrid Hartford-based position with a one-day-in-office per week requirement, for an estimated duration from early September 2026

Qualifications

• Five or more years of QA experience testing large enterprise applications.
• Strong hands-on manual testing experience.
• Experience with test automation and automated testing frameworks.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish sufficient for validation of bilingual content.
• Experience in SDLC and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to translate business requirements into test scenarios and cases.
• Experience using Jira for defect tracking and Agile project management.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on manual and automated testing across multiple enterprise applications.
• Develop and execute test scripts covering Spanish-language functionality.
• Validate Spanish-language content against approved English requirements and outcomes.
• Execute regression, integration, system, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Document defects clearly and coordinate with business and technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, architects, and project managers.
