Job summary

HungryPanda is seeking an experienced, hands-on Public Relations Manager to strengthen U.S. government and stakeholder relationships and protect HungryPanda’s reputation across media, social platforms and online communities.

You will independently lead sensitive issue responses, advise leadership and personally execute communications in English and Chinese. The role covers government relations, crisis communications, media relations and proactive reputation building, with ownership from risk

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in public relations, corporate communications or crisis communications, with hands-on ownership of sensitive issues.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage reputational incidents and coordinate with Legal and leadership.
• Professional fluency in English and Mandarin, with strong writing and briefing skills.

Responsibilities

• Government relations and public affairs: build credible relationships with U.S. government offices, regulators and associations, and prepare briefings with leadership and Legal.
• Crisis communications: independently lead responses to negative coverage, assess severity and drive execution.
• Cross-platform listening: monitor English- and Chinese-language channels across major platforms and forums relevant to U.S. audiences.
• Hands-on writing: draft statements, press materials, Q&A, and talking points in English and Chinese.
• Media relations: develop relationships with U.S. and Chinese-language media and coordinate spokespeople.
• Cross-functional coordination: align messages with Legal, Operations, Customer Service and Marketing, track owners and deadlines.
