Job summary

Maryland Office of the Public Defender in Prince George’s County seeks a Public Defender Intake Specialist Supervisor. The role oversees intake interviews, data entry, case file creation and staff supervision, with travel among offices and facilities throughout the state.

The position requires strong organizational, communication and bilingual skills (Spanish preferred), and experience in interviewing persons for background information.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
• Four years of experience interviewing persons to obtain and verify background information.
• Bi-lingual candidates (Spanish preferred) encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Oversee intake interview process and data entry into the case management system.
• Create case files and supervise intake staff and support personnel.
• Travel between offices, jails and detention centers as required.
• Generate Intake Daily Report to DPD and DDPD and coordinate team meetings.
