Job summary

Mi Escuelita Spanish Immersion Preschool in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a Lead Teacher to develop and implement developmentally based, educational programs for preschoolers. You will lead language-rich activities, foster literacy, and ensure a safe, nurturing classroom environment while valuing diversity and family involvement.

The role requires Spanish fluency, a background in early childhood education, and at least two years in a licensed childcare setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education or equivalent.
Two years teaching experience in a licensed childcare center preferred.
Fluency in Spanish and familiarity with Latin American culture required.
CPR/First Aid valid within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans for preschool children.
Plan activities introducing Spanish language, Latin American customs, music, and traditions.
Create a nurturing environment and supervise safety and well-being.
Use positive behavior management and support literacy through storytelling.
Collaborate with families to support each child’s development and progress.
