Job summary

SPANISH FOR FUN! is seeking a Lead Teacher in Clayton, NC to oversee holistic education and support language, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children. The role requires alignment with state policies and collaboration with families, staff, and administration.

The Lead Teacher will plan engaging activities, document learning, and ensure safety and cleanliness under SPANISH FOR FUN! and DCDEE guidelines, with emphasis on bilingual English/Spanish communication and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• HS Degree + NC EC Credentials or a Bachelor's degree in Education/Psychology.
• AA/AAS in Early Childhood Development or Child Development.
• Bilingual (Spanish and English) is required.

Responsibilities

• Educational Planning and Documentation: Plans and documents all learning activities following SPANISH FOR FUN! guidelines.
• Classroom Attendance and Daily Management: Maintains attendance records and supports daily activities per DCDEE/SFF.
• Participation in School Meetings and Events: Attends planning meetings, school events, and conferences.
• Promoting Classroom Safety and Sanitation: Ensures health and safety compliance in the classroom.
