Job summary

Mexican American Opportunity Foundation in Salinas, CA, seeks an Associate Teacher for MAOF Child Care/Pre-School. You will provide direct care and instruction to young children, fostering social, physical and intellectual growth in a structured program.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, maintaining progress records, and coordinating with staff and parents to support child development. Must hold a California Associate Teacher permit, have 3 Infant and Toddler units, and be bilingual in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate Teacher permit from the CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing required.
• 3 Infant and Toddler units required.
• Minimum 1 year classroom experience with preschool children.
• Pediatric CPR and Pediatric First Aid certificates annually.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and supervise groups of children under site supervisor guidance.
• Provide a learning environment promoting social, physical and intellectual growth.
• Follow curriculum; prepare lesson plans and materials.
• Maintain attendance records and progress notes; document developmental status.
• Conduct parent conferences and communicate child needs and progress.
• Ensure safety and supervise activities indoors and outdoors.
