Job summary

Children's Aid Society in New York seeks a Part-time Teacher's Aide to support teaching teams in delivering evidence-based curricula and individualized learning experiences for preschoolers.

You will assist with small group instruction, classroom setup, and daily record-keeping while ensuring Head Start standards and family engagement. Strong English/Spanish skills and at least 1 year of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; must meet Head Start requirements.
• Pre-K or Toddler CDA credential required or enrolled in plan with 24-month completion.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required or strongly preferred based on program needs.
• Minimum of one year of experience with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children.

Responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher in implementing the curriculum and adapting materials.
• Prepare and organize materials for daily lessons and learning centers.
• Conduct small group activities and monitor student progress with feedback to the lead teacher.
• Assist one-on-one with students needing extra help and support IEPs/ accommodations as needed.
• Assist in family engagement activities and documenting child development.
