Job summary

Sonoma State University is seeking a part-time Pre-Collegiate Program Assistant to support Upward Bound and Academic Talent Search participants in grades 6–12. Under the direction of the site Program Manager, you will assist with academic activities, operations, and motivational efforts.

The position requires two years of experience with diverse populations, strong professional communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and/or Google Apps.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience with diverse student populations.
• Ability to communicate professionally with students (grades 6–12), parents, schools, and professionals.
• Typing proficiency and office apps (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Docs/Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, operational, and motivational support to Upward Bound and Academic Talent Search participants.
• Assist with programmatic needs to meet annual objectives.
• Support program staff and maintain confidential information.
