Job summary

Sonoma State University seeks a Program Assistant for the Sonoma and Napa Region to support Upward Bound and Academic Talent Search participants in grades 6–12. You will provide academic, operational, and motivational support under supervision, coordinating with school partners and campus resources to meet annual goals.

The role involves office work at Fort Bragg High School and occasional travel across Mendocino, Lake and Sonoma Counties for meetings and events.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience working with a diverse participant population, including those from at-risk, low-income, first-generation backgrounds.
• Ability to communicate professionally with participants in grades 6–12, parents, schools, and business partners.
• Proficiency in typing and with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and/or Google Applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, operational, and motivational support to Upward Bound and Academic Talent Search participants.
• Travel within Mendocino, Lake and Sonoma Counties for meetings, trainings and program events; some evenings/weekends may be required.
