Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas seeks a field service engineer to commission and service PCS, ESS, and PVI systems at customer sites. You will perform maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting, ensuring reliable system operation and safety compliance.

You will analyze alarms and data, configure settings, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve products. Travel up to 70% and strong customer communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years' experience commissioning, servicing, or troubleshooting industrial electrical equipment and power systems.
• Strong understanding of three-phase power, AC/DC conversion, and power electronics.
• Knowledge of battery energy storage and grid-connected systems is a plus.
• Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams proficiently.
• Experience with electrical test equipment and industrial networking protocols.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, startup, testing, and validation of PCS, ESS, and PVI systems at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, firmware upgrades, and system health checks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, communication, networking, and control issues; perform repairs.
• Respond to customer requests and provide onsite and remote technical support.
• Analyze alarms, logs, and data to identify root causes and fix issues.
• Configure and verify system settings and controller parameters.
• Support system integration with SCADA, EMS, and BMS platforms.
• Conduct acceptance testing and prepare commissioning reports.
• Provide technical training to customers, contractors, and field staff.
• Prepare accurate service reports and documentation; share field feedback with teams.
