Job summary

NYWDS seeks a seasoned Litigation Paralegal to support personal injury claims in a fast-paced New York office. The ideal candidate will draft complaints, manage discovery, and coordinate with courts while ensuring compliance with NY procedures. Spanish fluency and strong organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities include case preparation, calendar management, and using PACER and NY state portals. This role requires commuting to the office; remote work is not available.

Qualifications

• Must be able to commute to work and be a U.S. citizen.
• Must speak Spanish.
• Must have prior personal injury experience.
• This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Draft complaints for personal injury claims arising from motor-vehicle accidents, premises liability, product liability, and other PI matters.
• Prepare and respond to discovery, including motions and pretrial orders.
• Coordinate with courts, clerks, and judges; manage calendars and scheduling.
• Draft demands, bills of particulars, interrogatories, notices to admit, subpoenas, and proposed orders.
• Prepare for mediation, trial, and arbitration; manage case exhibits and witness lists.
