Job summary

Job Juncture in Houston, TX is seeking a contract Phlebotomist for a 3-month assignment with potential for permanent placement. Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifugation, and data maintenance. Must have PHLEBOTOMY CERTIFICATION and Spanish language ability.

Schedule is 8:30am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with benefits available. Minimum of 3 years of experience noted in the posting; strong MS Office skills and adherence to lab procedures are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must speak Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Maintain patient information and lab records.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
