Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Phlebotomist who speaks Spanish to join a Houston, TX team on a contract basis with potential for permanent placement. The role requires blood draws, specimen labeling, and adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds a state phlebotomy certification, 6+ months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain clearly the venipuncture process to patients in a courteous manner.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to required temperatures.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
