Job summary

Labcorp in Perth Amboy, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, collect specimens for drug screens and tests, and ensure accurate data entry and handling of patient information.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year phlebotomy experience, bilingual English/Spanish, and the ability to travel to additional sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
