¡Vamos! Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a reliable Phlebotomist to join our full-time clinical team.

You will safely collect blood and specimens, verify patient identification, and provide a compassionate, professional experience in a bilingual Spanish/English environment. This fast-paced role requires attention to detail, adherence to infection-control procedures, and effective communication with patients, providers, and lab staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program required.
• Current phlebotomy certification preferred, based on applicable state requirements.
• Previous phlebotomy or healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections safely and accurately.
• Verify patient identification and ensure specimens are properly labeled and handled.
• Prepare patients for blood draws and explain procedures to help ease anxiety or discomfort.
• Follow established infection control, safety, and specimen-handling procedures.
• Process and transport specimens according to laboratory requirements.
• Maintain accurate patient and specimen documentation.
• Monitor and maintain phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
• Provide professional and compassionate patient service.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, laboratory staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
