Job summary

Sora Resource Group in Houston, TX seeks a Phlebotomist (Spanish Speaking) for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is 8:30am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with benefits available.

The role requires performing blood draws, labeling and handling specimens, and ensuring accurate data entry, while complying with OSHA regulations and lab procedures. Must speak Spanish and have phlebotomy certification.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 to 7+ years of experience (as stated in the ad).

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and ensures proper labeling and transport.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to required temperatures.
