Job summary

Rightway is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to join the Operations team. You will be the first point of contact for members, providers, and pharmacies via phone, chat, and email, resolving benefits, prior authorization, and claims inquiries with empathy and efficiency.

At 1–3 years of health plan or PBM contact center experience, you will support clinical program enrollment and medication adherence, documenting interactions for high-quality care and reporting.

Qualifications

• Education: associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Certification: Active/Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB, NHA).
• Experience: 1–3 years as a pharmacy technician in a health plan, retail pharmacy, TPA, or PBM contact center; mail order and specialty pharmacy backgrounds are a strong fit.
• Knowledge: pharmacy claims adjudication, benefit design, and PBM terminology.
• Detail oriented, adaptable, and analytical; able to dig past symptoms to root cause.
• Empathetic and curious; dedicated to improving member healthcare experiences across channels.
• Able to multitask across phone, chat, and email queues; manage workload independently.
• Comfortable supporting multiple lines of business and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for members, providers, and pharmacies across phone, chat, email, and written correspondence.
• Field and resolve inquiries related to mail order, benefit design, formulary coverage, medication cost, prior authorization criteria, and claims adjudication.
• Support interactions across channels while maintaining quality and service standards.
• Assist network pharmacies in processing prescription claims and reviewing claims for accuracy against guidelines.
• Support clinical pharmacists with outreach, enrollment in Rightway programs, and adherence follow-ups.
• Document interactions and resolutions within internal systems for continuity of care and compliance.
• Own issues from initial contact to final resolution, coordinating with internal teams as needed.
• Utilize AI-enabled tools and knowledge systems to resolve inquiries and deliver a consistent experience.
• Foster a cooperative, respectful team environment and take on additional duties as assigned.
