Job summary

myPlace Health in Greater Los Angeles is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Attendant/ CNA to provide hands-on daily care to frail and elderly participants onsite at our Los Angeles location. You will work with families and the IDT to ensure safety, dignity, and high-quality support in daily activities and appointments.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, meals, mobility, transportation, and health monitoring.

Qualifications

• A Heart for Service – caring for older adults and high-risk seniors.
• Hands-On Experience – PCA or CNA, especially with frail elderly.
• Safety First – CPR and First Aid certification or willing to obtain within 60 days.
• A Plus, Not a Must – CNA/HHA certification preferred but not required.
• Ready to Go – capable of caring in participants’ homes when needed.
• Bilingual Bonus – multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse communities.
• Reliable Transportation – CA driver’s license, reliable transport, clean record, insurance.

Responsibilities

• Offer compassionate daily care including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, laundry, meals.
• Be a friendly companion and guide, assist with transportation and appointments.
• Support mealtimes and assist those needing help with eating.
• Provide safe, gentle physical assistance to keep participants comfortable.
• Assist with meal delivery and create a welcoming dining experience.
• Monitor health indicators and notify care team of changes.
• Keep supply stocks organized and stocked, including incontinence items.
• Follow care tasks and checks as directed by the IDT.
• Communicate with participants, families, and providers with warmth and clarity.
• Be flexible and assist wherever needed to ensure quality care.
• Support SCAN’s vision and goals, incl. AI-related initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills

PCA/CNA experience
