Job summary

Pediatrics clinic in Panorama City, CA seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient intake, prepare for examinations, and document medical histories and vitals. You will assist with preliminary tests, manage patient flow, and ensure accurate chart entries and referrals.

The role requires Spanish language ability, CPR/BLS certification, and at least 1 year MA and receptionist experience in a medical office. Strong people skills and efficient multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification/ Diploma
• Spanish language required due to population served
• CPR/BLS Certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year MA experience
• Minimum 1 year Receptionist experience in Medical Office
• Knowledge of CPT codes and insurance types
• Excellent people skills and ability to multitask
• Excellent telephone and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, answer inquiries, and direct calls
• Screen, direct and manage phone calls accurately
• Schedule appointments
• Document patient information in charts and verify accuracy
• Maintain patient flow and exam room readiness
• Stock and tidy exam rooms and nursing stations
• Assist with training of new personnel
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations/referrals
• Create charts and upload authorizations and referrals
• Improve patient satisfaction and schedule adherence
• Notify providers of patient arrivals and delays
• Other duties as assigned
